Here’s Minteer Real Estate Team’s list of Independence Day celebrations and 4th of July events around Northeast Tarrant County and beyond for 2018!

July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it’s also time to fire up that barbecue, stock up on sparklers, and also find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day.



What: Six Flags Festive Fourth
Where: Six Flags: 2201 E Road to Six Flags St, Arlington, TX 76010

From June 30 – July 4, Six Flags Over Texas is also the premiere destination to celebrate our country, enjoy the summer and share great times with friends. Independence Day is also more than just a holiday, it’s the ultimate American tradition. Furthermore, Coca-Cola July 4th Fest has everything you need for a star-spangled visit: exclusive ride times, fireworks all five nights, festive foods, and more! Finally, a great way to wear out the kids for a day!

What: Independence Day Celebration with rides and music

When: July 3, 2018 / 5:00 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Cost: Free

Nationally recognized as one of the Top 10 Fireworks display, Addison’s Kaboom Town!® features more than 1,500 fireworks for a dazzling 25-minute show. With concerts from the military band and Dallas Wind Symphony, and also an air show with a warbird flyover before the show, Addison’s Kaboom Town!® is one fireworks show not to be missed.

Parking: Free parking is also located in the Millenium Garage 15455 North Dallas Parkway, Colonnade Garage 15305 North Dallas Parkway, Addison Circle One Garage 15725 North Dallas Parkway. Furthermore, Handicap Parking is available at DART parking lot 4925 Arapaho Road

Good to know: Alcoholic beverage sales end 1 hour prior to event closing. A limited supply of complementary sunscreen and bug spray are available at the Festival Command Post. This event is rain or shine.

Bring: Bags not bigger than 12”x12”x6”, coolers not bigger than 16”x20”x12”, food and snacks for picnics. Also, personal umbrellas, collapsible chairs, small portable radios, binoculars, medically-necessary supplies, baby supplies.

Leave at home: Alcoholic beverages, computers or laptops, fireworks, sparklers, laser points, oversized chairs or lawn/household furniture, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, unauthorized weapons, solicitation materials, open flames or grills


What: USA Celebration
Where: Celebration Park: 701 Angel Pkwy, Allen, TX 75002
When: June 30, 2018 / 4:00 p.m.

First to the Fourth
Centered around the theme of being “First to the Fourth,” Market Street Allen USA serves as the community’s Fourth of July celebration, uniquely held the last Saturday of June every year, happening this year at 4 p.m. June 30, 2018 at Celebration Park in Allen, TX. (FREE to attend.) Being the last Saturday in June also allows the event to be a standout among area cities’ celebrations and promotes attendance locally, regionally and statewide.


What: 4thFest Independence Day Celebration
Where: Bedford Boys Ranch Park – 2801 Forest Ridge Dr. Bedford, TX 76021
When: Wednesday, July 4, 2018  |  4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Join the City of Bedford for 4thFest, will feature free live musical entertainment by the Inspiration Band, a variety of themed family friendly activities, classic car show, yummy festival food and, of course, the spectacular fireworks when the sun goes down.

Cost: Admission is free.
Parking$20 on-site parking is available via the Boys Ranch Park entrance at Eastbound Harwood Rd. $15 parking is available at the Bedford Public Library located at 2424 Forest Ridge Dr, Bedford TX, 76021. It is a short walk to the event.
Bring: Lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and non-alcoholic beverages.

What: Independence Day Celebration with music, kids’ zone and fireworks
Where: Farmers Branch Historical Park: 2540 Farmers Branch Ln, Farmers Branch, TX 75234
When: July 3, 2018 | 6:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m

Farmers Branch always provides one of the few, low-level firework shows in North Texas! A spectacular show will be accompanied by a high-energy dance band on stage, a FREE KidZone area, concessionaires selling festival favorites and more! You don’t want to miss this yearly tradition of Patriotism, Family and Fun.


What: Independence Fest
Where: Bakersfield Park – 1201 Duncan Lane, Flower Mound
When: July 4, 2018 • Gates open at 5 p.m. • Fireworks around 9:50 p.m.

Celebrate America’s freedom with the Town of Flower Mound at Independence Fest on Wednesday, July 4, 2018! With Pat Green as the headliner, a full evening of activities are available for the family that includes a vintage car show, a free kids area with bounces houses and more, performances by Le Freak and Mark Tyson and the Whisky Pilots, food and more. The evening concludes with a thrilling fireworks show around 9:50 p.m.

Parking: A free parking and shuttle service is provided at 1700 Lakeside Parkway. We recommend individuals requiring accessibility parking, or those with strollers, to use the Red Tiger parking lot on Lakeside Parkway. The shuttle service begins at 4:45 p.m. on the day of the event, and will continue until 9:15 p.m. The shuttle service will then resume at the completion of the fireworks show.
Bring: Coolers, chairs-in-a-bag, blankets, strollers, cameras, binoculars. Depending on weather: sunscreen, insect repellent or umbrellas.
Leave at home: Alcoholic beverages (will be sold on site), weapons, illegal narcotics, skateboards, bicycles, Segways, scooters, animals (other than service animals), smoking

FORT WORTH’S FOURTHFort Worth's Fourth 2017

Enjoy a day of fun for the whole family at Fort Worth’s Fourth with the largest 4th of July Fireworks show in North Texas. Also, enjoy tubing on the Trinity River, pony rides, face painting, miniature golf, bounce houses, zip lining water slides and more. Enjoy jet ski and flyboard shows as well as a F-16 flyover. Live music is provided by Poo Live Crew and also Downtown Fever. Food is available for purchase on site.

When: July 4 – Gates open at 2 p.m. Kidzone will be open from 2-8 p.m. Fireworks at 10 p.m.
Where: Panther Island Pavilion – 395 Purcey Street, Fort Worth
Cost: Regular Admission is free, Kid Zone is free.
Parking: Preferred parking is $20 and overflow parking is $10. More maps and details coming soon so make sure to check their website for updated information.
Bring: Dogs (must remain on leash), tents and chairs
Leave at home: Coolers and outside food or beverages.


What: Symphony Orchestra’s Family Fireworks and Picnic
Where: Fort Worth Botanic Garden: 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107
When: July 2-4, 2018 / Concert at 8:15 p.m. fireworks to follow

Grapevine  •  July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza

Enjoy the 4th in Grapevine at the 34th Annual  July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza over Lake Grapevine. The 25-minute fireworks extravaganza starts at 9:30 p.m. For a list of viewing sites check their website.  Fireworks will continue rain or shine. Stay tuned to the City of Grapevine’s website for more details

Come out for HURST STARS & STRIPES 2018 and enjoy a free, family-oriented, alcohol-free event for all ages. The events will also feature a children’s area with inflatables, face painting, food, and music from Blue water Highway Band, Infinite Journey and Emerald City. Finally, the event concludes with a fantastic fireworks display.

When: July 4 starting at 5 p.m. Fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
Where: Community Park – 601 Precinct Line Road, Hurst
Cost: Free
Parking: No on-site parking. Free shuttle service provided from North East Mall in front of Nordstrom.
Leave at home: Pets, alcohol, smoking and personal grills


What: July 4th Festival
Where: Castle Hills | 2520 King Arthur Boulevard, Lewisville, TX 75056
When: July 4, 2018 / 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Castle Hills 20th annual July 4th Freedom Festival is a fun-filled community event. Come out to the Village Shops Plaza starting at 5:30 pm as a DJ spins tunes that will keep everyone entertained. Every year the Plaza includes free activities for children. This year’s activities will also include the largest inflatable maze in Texas, bounce houses, water slides, a foam and bubble area. Furthermore, caricature artists, trackless train rides, face painters and more are set up for the entire family.

Concessions will also be available for purchase from many of the area’s favorite food trucks, not to mention Village Shops eateries and restaurants. Also, grab a spot on the lawn around Lake Avalon early so that you will be well-positioned for one of the largest fireworks displays in the Metroplex at dusk. Furthermore, don’t forget to bring blankets and chairs as good spots along the lake get taken early in the day.

The event is free and open to the public.


What: Concert and Fireworks
Where: Wayne Ferguson Plaza: 150 W Church St, Lewisville, TX 75057
When: July 3, 2018 / 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.

Sounds of Red, White and Lewisville Presented by Topgolf features live music, kids’ activities and fireworks. The event and activities are also free to the public.

• 6 p.m. – Event opens: food trucks, inflatables, face painter, strolling T-Rex
• 6-7:30 .m. – Sarah Lee-Anna Hobbs, country artist
• 8-9:30 p.m. – Desperado – Eagles Tribute
• 9:30ish p.m. – Fireworks from the MCL Grand

Best viewing areas for the fireworks show are Wayne Ferguson Plaza and the surrounding areas in Old Town Lewisville.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed.

Due to limited parking and street closures, attendees are also encouraged to take the FREE shuttle to the event. Shuttles run 5-11 p.m. from two locations:

• North end of Lone Star Toyota of Lewisville Rail Road Park
• Lowe’s Home Improvement at Valley Ridge and I-35.

Per shuttle policy, no pets or weapons allowed on shuttle buses. Additional shuttle, parking and street closure info can be found out cityoflewisville.com/wfpparking.

Coolers with outside food and drink are allowed; however, glass is not allowed in Wayne Ferguson Plaza.

Furthermore, small umbrellas are allowed, but please no canopies or tents. If using an umbrella, please also be respectful of the people behind you that want to watch the concert.

North Richland Hills • Family 4th Fireworks ShowFAMILY 4TH CELEBRATION

Celebrate America’s freedom at the annual Northeast Tarrant Family 4th Celebration and Fireworks show. The events start with kid’s activities, a salute to veterans, entertainment from country music star Holly Tucker, food and drink at the old Birdville stadium. The evening ends with a spectacular fireworks show. Furthermore, fireworks can be viewed from of the Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum, 6108 Broadway Avenue in Haltom City, and The Hills Shopping Center, 6351 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills. Parking will also be available on a first come first serve basis, so plan to come early. Vehicles will also not be allowed to park along the street.

When: July 4 starting at 5 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Where: The Hills Shopping Center – 6351 Boulevard 26, North Richland Hills
Cost: Free
Parking: Available on a first-come, first-served basis at The Hills Shopping Center and BISD’s Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum
Bring: Chairs, blankets and also games
Leave at home: Outdoor cooking or grilling equipment, alcohol and personal fireworks

Roanoke  •  3rd of JulyJuly 3rd 2018

Futhermore, come out for Roanoke’s 3rd  of July and enjoy bounce houses, train rides, food, music, a rock climbing wall, fireworks and more! The Spazmatics will also be providing live music from 8:00-10:30 p.m.

When: July 3 from 6-10:30 p.m.
Where: Roanoke Community Park – 201 Park Drive, Roanoke
Cost: Admission is free. Food may have prices.
Parking: Complimentary shuttles will also be available at the park entrance starting at 5:30 p.m. Furthermore, see website for more parking information and maps.

Southlake  • Annual Stars and Stripes Eventfourth of july

Finally, join the City of Southlake for their annual Stars & Stripes events. Enjoy the sounds of The Southlake Community Band, Songbird Jones and Downtown Fever while also eating food from BellaTrino, Ruthie’s Rolling Food Truck and more! There’s also lots of free activities and inflatables for children to enjoy. The evening will also end with a fantastic fireworks show to patriotic tunes and pop hits at 9:30pm.

When: July 3 starting at 6 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m.
Where: Southlake Town Square – 1400 Main Street, Suite 210; Southlake
Cost: Free, including Kid’s events. Food does cost.
Parking: Free parking is available around Southlake Town Square. A free shuttle is available at White’s Chapel Methodist Church.
Bring: Chairs, blankets, coolers
Leave at home: Tents, pets, alcoholic beverages and also glass containers.
