Express Route added to The T to North Fort Worth

The T Adds New Express Route to North Fort Worth

Fort Worth is a large area, boasting a population of almost 780,000 as of the last census, making it the 16th largest city in the country and the 5th largest city in Texas. Additionally, the population density of Fort Worth is 1,827.8 people per square mile. That’s a lot of people in one space. As most people can imagine, this can lead to some pretty serious traffic congestion throughout the city. Driving between downtown and north Fort Worth via Interstate 35W can be challenging. For those doing it on a daily basis, it becomes tiresome quickly. Fortunately, the Fort Worth Transportation Authority is planning a new bus service that will help alleviate some of the pain of driving through Fort Worth.

The new bus service is planned to start running its express routes in the late part of spring.

There will be a new park-and-ride lot available between the Heritage Trace Parkway and the Golden Triangle Boulevard. The bus service will provide residents with three trips both in the morning and the afternoon. Additional details are still being discussed, but the park-and-ride lot should open by June at the very latest if construction continues to go smoothly.

The new bus service will offer convenience to residents living in Keller, Haslet, Roanoke and north Fort Worth. Residents most likely won’t get to work any faster than if they drove by car. However, it will allow them to save on gas, wear and tear on their own vehicles and the frustration of driving in traffic. They’ll also have the luxury of doing anything other than driving. Reading, a bit of last minute work or catching up on a favorite phone game is preferable to spending precious energy behind the wheel. Taking the bus could provide a much more relaxing beginning to the day. Hopefully that positively effects the emotional state of many of Fort Worth’s residents.

Keep an eye open for the new route coming this spring. If you’re interested in relocating to the north Fort Worth area, begin looking for homes in the area or contact Minteer Real Estate Team for additional information.
