2016 Spring Cleaning Checklist

spring

Spring has officially arrived in North Texas meaning it’s time for the annual rite of spring cleaning. While the task may seem daunting, it will feel good to have the interior of your home feel fresh!

To make the chore feel less overwhelming, Minteer Real Estate Team has complied some easy to manage tasks to get you spring cleaning in no time!

Clean the entire house:

Dusting off  fan blades, window sills and baseboards will immediately make your house feel fresh. Here is a handy checklist that we’ve compiled that goes room to room, along with any outside cleaning, to get the task completed as quickly and as painless as possible.

Get rid of clutter:

Spring is the perfect time of year to get rid of the clutter that has accumulated over the past year. Get rid of anything that is no longer necessary, either by throwing things out, donating it or putting it in storage. Your home will feel more spacious, and you’ll feel more focused without the distractions of having too much clutter.

Organize your closets:

Don’t let the de-cluttering just stop at the things you can immediately see. Clean out all your home’s cabinets and closets. For your wardrobe, the common rule is if you haven’t worn it in a year, than get rid of it. If it doesn’t fit, don’t keep hanging on to it. Either donate it or sell it. You’re closets will instantly feel better, and you’ll have more room for clothes that are on trend and that you’ll wear.
