Residents of and visitors to Fort Worth have a diverse selection of shopping and dining options from which to choose.
There is one particular destination, however, that stands apart from all the others, and that place is Sundance Square. Encompassing more than 30 square blocks in Fort Worth’s magnificent downtown area, Sundance Square offers a nightlife lover’s playground, with an eclectic array of live music clubs; restaurants, eateries, cafes, and diners; watering holes, taverns, saloons, and bars; and myriad other food, fun, and frivolity emporiums. Some popular Sundance Square hot spots that may whet your appetite are Scat Jazz Lounge and The Flying Saucer.
Just outside of downtown, the West 7th Street District serves as a destination for premiere shopping, dining, and entertainment. From high-concept eateries to popular merchants such as Movie Tavern and LA Fitness, this hub is a hotspot for local residents, TCU students, and tourists alike.
You will also find one-stop shopping malls in Fort Worth, such as Ridgmar Mall, Stockyards Station, La Gran Plaza and Hulen Mall.
Parks and Recreation
The City of Fort Worth’s Parks and Community Services Department (PACS) manages and maintains more than 270 city and neighborhood parks and public spaces.
The city also offers a wide variety of exercise and educational programs for children, teenagers, adults and seniors via its more than 20 community centers. Some of the additional services provided include special interest classes, computer lab and recreational sport teams.

Living
The fourth highest concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in the nation is in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, providing the city’s residents with an incredible amount of employment opportunities. ExxonMobil, American Airlines, RadioShack and GE Manufacturing Solutions are only a few of the major companies in or very near Fort Worth.
Fort Worth is home to the Kimbell Art Museum, which houses one of the best art collections in the state inside one of its most stunning and original works of modern architecture. Some of the city’s other cultural attractions of note include the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and the Amon Carter Museum.
The aforementioned Sperling’s Best Places ranked Fort Worth No. 4 on its The Best Cities to Relocate to in America list in 2011, citing its myriad attractions, as well as its major league sports franchises, such as the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
