August 2016 Real Estate Stats for Northeast Tarrant County

august 2016

The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University have released August 2016’s real estate figures!

We’ve rounded up the real estate figures for ColleyvilleGrapevineKellerSouthlake, and surrounding NE Tarrant County towns. Here’s how things are shaping up.

Since last month, home prices have mostly declined except for in Bedford, Grapevine and Trophy Club/Westlake. Overall, the cities whose home prices have declined, the days on market dropped and the number of sales increased. This is showing how much prices rose this year and that buyers were unwilling to make the move for the price. The exception is Grapevine whose home prices rose along with the number of home sales showing that Grapevine is a hot and competitive market to be buying in.

Looking at this time last year, home prices are still mostly on the rise along with the number of home sales while days on market have lessened.

What’s the big picture? August is typically a slower market because of final vacations people are taking and kids going back to school. But, Northeast Tarrant County is still a booming market and it’s starting to be a good time for buyers to take advantage of the declining home prices.
