DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS COMMUNITY ALTAR AT FLOWER MOUND

The Day of the Dead” is an intimate celebration of life and death. Discover this honored tradition as we pay respect to the souls of our deceased loved ones. The Old Church will be open for prayer, meditation, and memorial with a beautiful community altar to honor loved ones and commemorate friendships.

Where: Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Ln 

When: November 1

Candles and flowers will be provided to place on the altar. Attendees are encouraged to bring extra photos keepsakes to place at the communal altar in memory of their loved ones.


SONGS & SMILES BENEFIT CONCERT AT GRAPEVINE

Join us for a fun evening of music and comedy featuring performers from Branson and Nashville such as Johnny Meyer and Ted Cunningham, and more!

Where: Palace Theatre, 300 S. Main St.

When: November 3

Proceeds from this event will benefit Songs & Smiles, a Grapevine-based nonprofit supporting families during the Alzheimer’s journey. Tickets cost $50. 


ARBOR DAY IN NORTH RICHLAND HILLS

Join NRH Parks & Recreation, Planning, and Neighborhood Services and Keep NRH Beautiful as they talk about the city’s urban forestry program. The city’s arborist will answer tree related questions and give planting and maintenance advice.

Where: NRH Centre, 6000 Hawk Avenue

When: November 4

Don’t miss to stop by the NRH Arbor Day booth to get free tree saplings sponsored by Bartlett Tree Experts. Saplings will be limited, so get there early!


ARBOR TREE GIVEAWAY IN FLOWER MOUND

The Environmental Services Division of the Town of Flower Mound will give out trees in Glenwick Park in observance of Texas Arbor Day. The giveaway will be followed by the Town’s Official Arbor Day Proclamation and tree planting at 11:45am.

Where: Glenwick Park 3300 Cross Timbers Rd

When: November 5

Update: Registrations are now closed and all trees are now reserved! Please bring an ID or utility bill showing Flower Mound residence and a printout of your ticket or available to view on your phone.


VETERANS PARADE, CAR SHOW, & COOK-OFF IN ROANOKE

Join us as we pay tribute to those who have given the most for our nation. Featuring a parade of 40+ floats, remarks from distinguished military officers, live music, car show, cook-off and more!

Where: Roanoke City Hall, 500 S Oak St

When: November 5

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION IN CARROLLTON

On this day, we honor veterans and pay tribute to the people who gave their lives to make this great country what it is today. Catch a patriotic concert featuring the New Horizons Band Dallas.

Where: Senior Center, 1720 Keller Springs Road 

When: November 10

This is a free event! However, due to limited seating, registration is limited to veterans and a guest or to widow(er)s of a veteran and a guest. Click here to register online. 


VETERANS DAY RELAY RUN IN FLOWER MOUND

Veterans Day Relay Run is back for another year! Veterans, their families, and Flower Mound residents will have the chance to run a portion of a pre-determined route across town while carrying an American flag.

Where: Multiple starting locations 

When: November 11

Update: Registrations are now closed! Chosen relay runners will be notified of their relay location and time on the week of October 24.


DOROTHY’S DASH 5K RUN/WALK IN FLOWER MOUND

Dorothy Walkup, a former employee of the Town of Flower Mound, died her fight with multiple sclerosis on November 14, 2004. Join this annual event with the town to honor Dorothy and to remember her battle with MS.

Where: Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane

When: November 12

Net proceeds will benefit the Texas Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Dorothy’s honor. Click here to register online. 


FALL FAMILY CAMPOUT IN CARROLLTON

Spend a night beneath the stars while playing outdoor games like gigantic Jenga, Connect Four, and Checkers. You may also go on a guided hike around the Elm Fork Nature Preserve and enjoy food and a movie. Participants are required to provide their own camping gear, and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Where: R.E. Good Soccer Complex, 2335 Sandy Lake Rd

When: November 12 to 13

Breakfast will be provided in the morning while you break camp and campsites must be clear by 9:30am Sunday morning. Registration is required and costs $10 per camper or $8 per person for Saturday dinner and a movie only. Click here to register online. 


FORT WORTH PIZZA FEST IN FORT WORTH

The biggest celebration of pizza in Fort Worth is here! Taste the most delicious pizza made in many different ways, all in one place. Take part in a pizza eating competition, pizza trucks block party, live performances, and more!

Where: The Yard, 3017 Morton Street Fort Worth

When: November 13

This yummy event is open to all ages! General admission tickets cost $10, 15 & under cost $7, and 8 & under are free! Buy your tickets here. 


BFD FROZEN TURKEY DRIVE IN BEDFORD

Don’t forget to save those frozen turkeys! The Bedford Fire Department be holding their annual frozen turkey drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Central Fire Station, 1816 Bedford Rd.

When: November 17

Turkeys collected on this day will be donated to the North East Emergency Distribution Center to help feed local families in need over the holidays. 


GOBBLE WOBBLE 5K & FUN RUN IN COPPELL

The 4th Annual Coppell Gobble Wobble 5K & Fun Run is back for 2022! Join a group run on race day or complete the 5k on your own at your own pace.

Where: Andrew Brown Park East, 260 Parkway Blvd

When: November 19

Proceeds will be donated to Coppell Animal Services to provide food and other necessities to animals in need over the holiday season. Registration starts on November 11, click here to register online. 


CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY IN SOUTHLAKE

Witness Southlake’s Home for the Holidays Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Activities include carriage rides, snow hill rides, live entertainment, fireworks show, and more!

Where: Southlake Town Hall, 285 Grand Ave

When: November 19
