Four Upcoming Communities to Watch Out in Dallas-Fort Worth!
This year, a lot of new and exciting updates are coming to Dallas-Fort Worth! Take a look at some of the upcoming communities that we’re expecting.
1. RAINEY COURT IN SOUTHLAKE, TX
The Southlake City Council approved the development of a new single-family residential subdivision on May 3. The new community is named “Rainey Court” and will be located south of Bob Jones Road and west of North White Chapel Boulevard.
Hawkins-Welwood Homes is in charge of the project. The reported price point for the homes in development is about $3 million, and the property spans just under 5 acres and will contain four residential lots, each averaging around 43,500 square feet.

2. SEVENHILLS AT PAKAWOOD PROJECT IN FRISCO, TX
The commissioners at Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission gave the green light to zoning for single-family homes in the Sevenhills at Pakawoods project. The project aims to rezone the 11 acres at the southeast corner of Portola Drive and Main Street from agricultural and retail zoning to that for single-family homes.
According to Planning and Zoning Manager Jonathan Hubbard, homes that would be built in Sevenhills at Pakawoods would be of equal density as those west of Portola. The neighborhood would also be less dense than homes immediately south.

3. TERRANEA IN FLOWER MOUND, TX
A multifamily high-rise will be built at 2800 Lakeside Parkway in Flower Mound, Texas, along Lake Grapevine, and about 30 minutes northwest of downtown Dallas. It will contain more than 200 units for rent and ground-level retail.
This luxury multifamily tower will be developed by Realty Capital and is expected to cost $110 million and will be completed in 2024. Terranea is the latest addition to the larger Lakeside development and the remaining 40 acres have been marketed as a more dense and high-end mixed-use development called Lakeside Village.

According to Alexander Brown, president of Realty Capital Residential, the remaining acreage will be filled with single-family homes, six lakefront restaurants, a wedding chapel, a hotel and office development, and up to four additional residential towers over the next 6 to 8 years.
The entire project spanning 165 acres will cost about $2 billion to $2.5 billion once completed.

4. LEGACY IN MCKINNEY
Hanson Capital Group, a real estate firm based in Arizona and California, is building a home rental community in east McKinney. The 13-acre neighborhood is located on the southeast corner of Rockhill Road and North Brook Drive.
