Grapevine, Colleyville, and Southlake Focusing on Parks and Infrastructure

Capital improvement project (CIP) budgets for the 2023-2024 fiscal year will focus on parks and infrastructure for Grapevine, Colleyville, and Southlake.

COLLEYVILLE

Colleyville’s CIP totals $22.8 million and will go towards street improvements ($5.8M), parks and recreation ($4.6M), wastewater ($4.3M), facilities ($4.2M), and other ($3.9M). Projects to note include:

  • Design work for Cheek-Sparger Road expansion
  • Intersection improvements at Glade Road and Roberts Road
  • Tinker Road water, drainage, and road reconstruction
  • Heroes Park – a military-themed park next to city hall
  • Redesign for Bransford Road Trail

GRAPEVINE

Two areas of improvement total over 75% of the funding for Grapevine, water/wastewater plants ($20M) and the service center rebuild which was hit by a tornado in 2022 ($15M), with $4.2M going towards parks and recreation and $2M going towards quality-of-life projects. 

The new 15-acre Setters Park will be receiving $2.8M and there will also be renovations at Grapevine Golf Course.

SOUTHLAKE

Southlake’s CIP totals $41.6 million and will go towards facilities ($13.1M), water ($9M), mobility ($89M), parks ($7.5M), and other ($3.1M). A large portion of the $13.1M will be used for the municipal service center and public safety training center. Other projects to note include:

  • Relocation of Southlake’s Emergency Operations Center
  • Southlake Visitor Information and Amenity Center addition
  • Water line work, lift stations, and pump station improvements
  • Intersection improvements at Continental Blvd and South Peytonville Ave
