The Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department has plans to transform the Rockledge Park into an area for outdoors lovers of all skill levels. Concept map plans for the park include the following proposed amenities: event archery ranges, a playground, a hybrid range, overlook pavilions, and event overflow parking. There is also plans to add junior sailing, a fishing pier, a terrace, an indoor shooting range, a mountain bike skills course, a sunset pavilion and restroom, staff/demonstration boat ramp, a rimfire shooting range and pavilion, Jackson Event Pavilion/Junior sailing clubhouse, a marine safety/education center, a bowhunting proficiency range and non-motorized craft bay and marine recreation outdoor classroom. However, these elements could change as the project moves forward.

In total, the new concept will cost an estimated $50 million. Currently, the park is waiting on funding, which could come as soon as August or September.
