Get Out and Explore Dallas – Ft. Worth Water Parks
Beat the heat this summer at the nation’s largest indoor water park, Epic Waters! Located in Grand Prairie, Epic Waters features 80,000 square feet of thrills, family fun and even a lazy river for relaxing. Capacity is limited on weekends and holidays, so consider purchasing tickets in advance.
This neighborhood play area is a blast to visit year-round! But what’s even cooler is Dove Park being an admission-free spray park. Watch as the kids get to splash under the colossal water dump bucket while you chill by the shaded benches.
You can never go wrong with this indoor water park! Great Wolf Lodge is open year-round, and no matter the weather outside, the temperature here is kept constant. A six-story funnel ride, a wave pool, and even hot springs pool are just a few of the many fun attractions you get to enjoy here.
Perfect for the whole gang because there’s something for everyone! At Hawaiian Falls, kids can play around at the toddler-friendly Keiki Kove, while adults get to lounge by the cabanas at the Breaker Bay. The best part is cooling down at the Kona Kooler lazy river!
Six Flags is almost synonymous with summer fun, so you can’t miss paying Six Flags Hurricane Harbor a visit! They have kids rides like Hook’s Slide, family rides like Hook’s Lagoon Treehouse, and for the daredevils, thrill rides like the Black Hole.
Enjoy a Summer Date Night Watching a Beautiful Texas Sunset
The Arboretum is famous for its beautifully curated vegetation. But did you know it’s one of the best places to get a glimpse of the sun setting over the Dallas skyline? The view of White Rock Lake and the glistening buildings is simply amazing. For the best spots, head to the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage & Lawn or the Woman’s Garden’s Pond.
Delaney Vineyards is home to an elegant, rustic space overlooking ten luscious acres where you can enjoy the ultimate pairing of wine with a view. On Thursday nights in the summer, (through August 31) watch the sunset and groove at their Rhythm & Wine night featuring live music, dancing and hand-selected fine wine with a $15 admission.
The beautiful Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie nests multiple lake parks and marinas. For the best sunset experience, visit Lynn Creek Park and Marina where you can soak up the sunset over calming water on The Oasis Restaurant’s patio. For family fun family try renting a boat or launch your own; bring your fishing gear or just watch the ducks swim by the bridge.
Located near Highway 114, Lake Carolyn offers a quaint, European neighborhood vibe with an urban backdrop. Ride the romantic gondolas and cruise through the canals, take a walk along the trail surrounding the lake and enjoy the view of the sun’s golden rays, piercing through the tall contemporary buildings in the area.
