Mark Your Calendars, Toy Story 4 Makes its Debut June 21st
Let’s be real. The Toy Story franchise has been delighting kids and adults for almost 25 years now. The much-anticipated Toy Story 4 is hitting theatres June 21st, and it won’t disappoint.
The Adventure Continues with New and Old Friends
When we last left our faithful leader Woody, his longtime boy, Andy went off to college. Side note: If you haven’t seen Toy Story 3, it’s a must. But be sure to have the tissues handy.
As Andy leaves for college, he donates all his favorite toys to a local daycare. This is when a loveable little girl named Bonnie claims Woody as her own. Of course, it is only after a battle with the mean toys at the daycare Woody and his new pals settle safely into their new home.
Toy Story 4 picks up with Bonnie about to start kindergarten and introduces a host of new characters as she deals with this new chapter.
Such as a googly eyed, ultra-jittery utensil dude who is Bonnie’s favorite plaything. Except, all he wants to do is throw himself back in the trash. Woody tries to explain Forky’s toy-box existence on a last-minute summer RV getaway with Bonnie’s family.
Unfortunately, one of Forky’s random escape attempts leads to both him and Woody being left behind. They end up in a small-town antique store. Of course, calamity ensues when Forky is spork-napped and held hostage by freaky ’50s doll Gabby Gabby. Who then demands Woody’s voice box. As fate would have it, the cool cowboy meets up with old love interest Bo Peep. Now considered a “lost” toy, is now an action-ready combo of Batman and MacGyver.
