Mesa Grapevine Is Excellent Addition To The Grapevine Food Scene
Here at Minteer Real Estate Team we like to consider ourselves Mexican food connoisseurs. So, we knew we had to try out Mesa Grapevine Station! This is an Oak Cliff staple who recently opened their newest restaurant in Grapevine.
As soon as we pulled up, we knew we’d like it. Their large enclosed patio with roll up doors is perfect for happy hours with family and friends. The inside is spacious and airy with a large bar and gorgeous iron work that we found out was made by the owner. We also loved the friendly servers who gave great recommendations while also providing quick service – especially during the busy lunch hour.
But on to the most important factor – the food! Some on our team judge a Mexican restaurant solely based on their chips and salsa, and Mesa’s didn’t disappoint. The chips are of the thicker kind that are so good, but because of their heaviness, you don’t eat an entire basket of chips all by yourself. And while we prefer our salsa with a little more spice, the salsa was delicious and complemented their homemade chips nicely.
We had a hard time choosing from Mesa’s coastal-inspired menu, but since they are known for their mole, try the mole we did. And holy mole – it did not disappoint! The chicken mole enchiladas sat on a bed of rice and was sweet, spicy and smoky. The portion was the perfect size, but boy we wish there had been more. Others on the team also had Mesa’s fajitas – a Tex-Mex staple – and they said it was equally as good. We were unable to try their desserts but the flan looked incredible. Finally, we decided to make a separate trip just for dessert and drinks!
