New Restaurant and Mixed-Use Development Coming to Grapevine
New Restaurant and Mixed-Use Development Coming to Grapevine
A new restaurant is coming to Grapevine’s historic downtown Main Street. San Daniele was approved at the March 21 joint Grapevine City Council and Planning Zoning Commission meeting.
San Daniele will be a high-end Italian restaurant. The owners plan on serving modern Italian fare but in the small plates style. The owners, Kristopher and Kelly Colig, want restaurant patrons to indulge without over indulging and to enjoy sharing food. The lower-level will function as a full-service restaurant as well as a bar. There will also be a boutique wine list as well as a selection of Italian, local craft, domestic and import beers. A small kitchen with a Neapolitan pizza oven as well as a full-service bar can be found upstairs. The highlight of the upper level will be the spectacular view of downtown Grapevine from the outdoor terrace. This terrace will also be available for table service. Furthermore, patrons of the upper level will have the option of ordering from the full menu. The restaurant is expected to finally open in August 2017.
A new retail and restaurant development is also in the works along Northwest Highway.
West wood Land Development purchased 11.34 acres of land located at the corner of Northwest Highway and Ruth Wall Road. The West wood Land Development purchased the land. Furthermore, their development at Grapevine Station is 99 percent leased out. This new development will feature high-end retail, office and restaurant spaces. There is also a possibility for bank sites. Their goal is to include an event space in the center of the development.
“We are still working with our architect to get the site plan where we want it, but hopefully we will start some work later this year and start the work off with two retail buildings and two office buildings in early 2018,” Chris Leighton, a broker for West wood, said.
