Station-to-Station: Fort Worth Prepares For Transit-Oriented Development

Texrail

The long-awaited commuter rail line is just three months out!! For those that don’t know, the TEXRail will stretch about 27 miles and connect Fort Worth to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. The rail will include nine stations in three cities – Fort Worth, North Richland Hills and Grapevine – and is expected to make a big economic impact to Tarrant County.

“TEXRail service is a giant step to better competitiveness for Tarrant County,” said Bill Thornton, president, and CEO of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. It makes our proposals for relocating or expanding companies much stronger. The more transit options a community possesses, the better chance we have of making a short list and recruiting companies,” Thornton said.
