It looks as if we are in for a hot real estate market this year! In fact, according to Zillow’s new ranking of the country’s 10 hottest real estate markets in 2019, the DFW area was ranked No. 7 and was the only major Texas metro to make the list! The ranking was determined by projected median home value, projected rental growth, recent income and population growth, recent unemployment rate and recent number of available jobs. 

DFW’s appearance on the list signals a move away from the West Coast housing markets to the more affordable southern markets. In research, the senior economist at Zillow, predicts an 8.4 percent increase in DFW’s median home value in the next 12 months.
