Mums, a Texas Tradition with a New Twist

Want to encourage your kiddos to do something different this homecoming season? We all know mums are a Texas tradition and they seem to get bigger every year. But this year, why not opt to help a family in need instead?

MUMZ4KIDZ is an organization that blossomed from the passion of four Carroll high school students in 2013. Deciding to ditch the expensive mums for the homecoming game. These students decided to donate to Youth World fed sixteen families and wore shirts to raise awareness for Youth World in South Dallas.

In five years, they have raised $126,121. MUMZ4KIDZ has given groceries to a total of 2,216 families for Thanksgiving & Christmas. In addition to this, 1,500 children have received groceries during Spring Break. They are entering the 6th year and are excited to see what they can do with 126 ambassadors sharing the vision across the Metroplex.
